How a small fishing tackle operation grew into one of America's most complete online outdoor gear stores — and why the best is still ahead
Angler's Pro Tackle & Outdoors began in 2009 as a small fishing tackle business operating out of a garage in North Texas. What started as a lean, local operation grew quickly into a 7,000-square-foot outdoor supply store that served thousands of customers for more than a decade.
During those years on the retail floor, a reputation was built the old-fashioned way: wide product selection, straight talk, and a loyalty that kept anglers and hunters coming back season after season.
The product line expanded far beyond fishing tackle over the years.
Hunting equipment, camping supplies, paddlesports, outdoor cooking, hand tools, footwear, and apparel all joined the shelves. The store became a one-stop destination for customers ranging from seasoned bass tournament anglers to families packing for their very first camping trip.

After careful planning, Angler's Pro Tackle & Outdoors transitioned to a fully online operation in December 2025 to focus entirely on serving customers nationwide.
