The Freefall Fry is a finesse shad/fry-profile soft plastic hand-poured in Texas by WM Bayou. It falls with a subtle shimmy and a lazy minnow-style action when lightly jigged — a compact, clean-falling baitfish look for bass keyed on small shad and fry. Designed to float. $6.99.
How do you rig the Freefall Fry?
Drop shot, Ned rig, shaky head, jighead minnow, or mushroom head. Pick it up when bass are keyed on small shad or fry and a compact profile with a clean fall matters more than bulk.
Was it originally called something else?
Yes — Bill originally tested this bait as the Fiddlefin before it came back into the lineup as the Freefall Fry.
What colors does it come in?
Night Sky, Green Pumpkin, Mr. Natural, Guacamole, Oil Slick, Watermelon Red, Silver Fish, Holo Fish, Chartreuse, Ghost Shad, Black and Blue, Honey, Old Earl, Tilapia Magic, June Bug, Bayou Ember. $6.99.
