Design & Construction

This piece is built as a solid wood, rectangular wall-mounted cabinet with a carved mountain and forest scene set into the front panel, and a row of four coat hooks fixed to the shelf ledge below it. The front panel is top-hinged and lifts straight upward to open, held in place once open by a gas strut mounted on the interior side panel.

How the Magnetic Lock Works

There's no keyhole or keypad anywhere on this piece, which would give away what it actually is. Instead, when a magnetic key placed on the front panel triggers a mechanical latch behind it, centered on the panel about 2 inches above its lower edge. Hold the magnetic key to that spot, and the latch releases, a light upward pull opens the door smoothly. Nothing to charge, nothing to reprogram, and nothing visible from the outside that hints at a lock at all.
